Big Sur Park School @ Gazebo Park
5 weeks: july 8-august 8
Big Sur Park School welcomes visiting families to the Summer Session of our year-round program at Gazebo Park. Our relational, nature-based program supports a thriving relationship with land, self and other, encouraging children to follow their interests as they explore this magical learning environment.

early explorers @ BIG CREEK
5 week series: july 12-August 9
ages 3-6 (and toilet-trained)
Big Sur Park School gets wild in the natural wonderland of Big Creek Reserve. Children and teachers set out for adventure to explore the creeks, forests, and beach of this pristine property, gathering for special activities, picnics, and rest. Immersed in the natural world, children deepen their relationship with nature and learn about local flora and fauna. Learn more about Big Creek here.
adventure camp @ BIG CREEK
2 weeks: july 22-25 & August 5-8
Big Sur Park School sets up camp in the natural wonderland of Big Creek Reserve in partnership with the University of California Natural Reserve System and University of California Santa Cruz. This is a special opportunity to hike and explore the rich and varied terrain of this protected ecosystem, reserved specifically for educational and research purposes. Students will learn natural history, leave-no-trace ethics, self-inquiry, and relational skills utilizing the incredible resources of this outdoor classroom and interfacing with visiting researchers and scholars. adventure camp : BIg sur PARK LANDS
2 weeks: july 15-18 & july 29-august 1
A variety of settings and ecosystems to explore! Join us for a week of adventure, interpretation, and day hikes through Big Sur’s local State Park and Forest Service lands. Students will learn natural history, leave-no-trace ethics, and relational skills among the redwoods, rivers, and coast of Big Sur. Locations include Andrew Molera State Park and Pfieffer Big Sur State Park.
Wilderness immersion @ big creek
overnight: July 26-28
Big Sur Park School and Ventana Wilderness Alliance are excited to present this introductory wilderness experience for teens! Through embodied immersion in nature, the program supports opportunities for self-reflection, creative expression, and mind-body awareness practices. Hiking, camping, and connecting with each other and the land, participants learn wilderness skills and natural history, build confidence and resilience, and gain leadership and teamwork experience. Gear and food provided.
