Big Sur Park School at Esalen
Week 1: july 10-12
WEEK 2: July 17-19
Big Sur Park School Summer Program launches on the grounds of the original Gazebo School Park at Esalen. Children are welcomed over the haybales and into the outdoor classroom: a one-acre Park "designed with the educational goal of maximizing the full use of the child's growing body and unfolding intelligence." (Janet Lederman, founder) Teachers support the development of a living relationship with the land, the self and each other, encouraging children to follow their interest as they explore this magical learning environment.
